The best Khao Soi in Chiang Mai?

Hidden next to the Wat Kuan Kama temple in a typically modest setting, you would be forgiven for walking straight past the famous Khao Soi Khun-Yai. Trust us though, this is not a place you want to miss!

We were here to try Khao Soi, a popular dish from Northern Thailand that combines chicken or beef in a rich coconut and curry soup, with boiled and deep fried egg noodles.

Only minutes after ordering, our wonderful looking food arrived with a side of pickled mustard greens, onions and lime, costing only 40 baht per person. The taste was simply incredible – the rich flavours, spices and textures were all balanced perfectly.

Khao Soi Khun-Yai fully deserves its excellent reputation in Chiang Mai. At less than £1 a serving, the question is not should you go, but how many bowls can you manage?

IN SHORT – One of the finest bowls of Khao Soi in town. Go, thank us, then go back for more.
